  • Clean bottles and crates
  • Low Rewash rate
  • Clock in at gate with fingerprint
  • Write down important information and chemical transfers in Handover Book
  • Attend 11am meetings
  • No visible slime on sides of conveyors
  • Housekeeping done consistently
  • Transfer hoses always kept chemical free and neatly arranged

Good Practices

  • Clear and frequent communication with Technicians
  • Daily meeting with the Team Leader in the morning to share the activities that will be done for the day
  • Follow the conveyor cleaning schedule
  • Chemical transfer pumps to be kept clean at all times and stored in correct area
  • Drag equipment is taken care off
  • Receive chemical deliveries
  • Decant chemicals
  • Drive a forklift (only if you have been trained)
  • Cellphones to be switched ON, be on your person and be fully charged when you are at work
  • Ensure that you have good network coverage to receive calls
  • Answer your phone when you are called by customer/Technician/Site manager
  • Give Technician advanced notice (ie 1 or 2 days ahead) if you are unable to come to work

Quality Control

  • Perform 50 crate counts
  • Perform Drag tests
  • Chemical containment areas are clean and free of spillages and dirt
  • Perform 100 Bottle counts
  • Ensure conveyors are cleaned properly
  • Conduct/assist with CIP’s if you have been trained to do so
  • Observe dosing lines and pumps for leaks/damages/faults and report immediately to Technician
  • Information can be tracked, well documented and retrieved from a central location

Reporting

  • Daily stock taking report for all chemicals: if on nightshift 6am and 6pm.If on dayshift 1pm
  • EBI reports
  • Fill in Stock allocation report correctly
  • Conveyors:
    • Walk the lines and inspect for issues, downtime, spraying pattern of nozzles
    • Remove and clean blocked nozzles
    • Check conveyors for cleanliness
    • Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to daytanks, if necessary. Use barricades and signage
    • Conduct drag tests and record results as per described matrix
    • Clean running conveyors on the side and where you see dirt/slime/residue
  • Bottlewasher
    • Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to daytanks,if necessary
    • Ensure good houskeeping around chemical dosing area
    • Ensure that chemical labels are intact-replace if damaged
    • Wipe the pump housing with a damp cloth to remove any chemical residue,dust etc
    • Keep the surface of the the daytanks clean and tidy at all times
    • 1pm stock take
    • Check water hardness and record results
    • Check pH of BW Rinse sections and record results
    • Check temperature of bottles at BW discharge and Filler infeed -record results
    • Conduct label carryover test-record results
    • Conduct caustic carryover test-record results
  • Cratewasher
    • Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to daytanks, if necessary
    • Ensure good houskeeping around chemical dosing area
    • Keep the surface of the the daytanks clean and tidy at all times, chemical labels intact.
