EarthStream is an Advanced Engineering recruiting specialist providing talent across multiple industry sectors to Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, Mining and Oil & Gas, many of which share commonality in their Engineering & Technology dependence.

A locally based Independent Power Producer is seeking an Office Administrator/Communications to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate would ideally come from an administrative background and be a PowerPoint guru!

Responsibilities:

  • Providing internal services to all employees, focusing on staff welfare and efficiency and ensuring that all expectations are always being met
  • Ensuring the common operating environment and Company vehicle fleet in Cape Town is equipped with the necessary facilities
  • Ensuring the upkeep of the office
  • Consolidation of various reports
  • Management of External Service Providers (ESPs)
  • Monthly bookkeeping
  • Assist in the onboarding process of new hires
  • Assist in planning inhouse or off-site activities.
  • Consolidation of a monthly/quarterly newsletter (internal & external)
  • Overseeing company social media / website pages
  • Handling promotional material (internal and external)

Requirements:

  • Administrative or secretarial qualifications
  • Proven experience as an administrator or front office manager
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; planning skills
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
