Website National Gambling Board (NGB)

The National Gambling Board is established in terms of the National Gambling Act, 2004 (Act 7 of 2004) as amended. It is a schedule 3A Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999). Act 7 of 2004 makes provision for the coordination of concurrent national and provincial legislative competence over matters relating to (the continued) regulation of gambling activities and also makes provision for the establishment of uniform norms and standards applicable throughout the Republic in certain gambling activities.

Duration: 12 Months
Stipend: R12 000 p.m

Requirements

LEGAL INTERN – Reference Number: NGB/002-2021

  • Degree in Law
  • Attention to detail
  • Research skills
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Good record-keeping skills
  • Negotiation and communication

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT INTERN – Reference Number: NGB/003-2021

  • National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Marketing and Communications, Public Relations or similar field
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Customer focus and stakeholder management
  • Ability to design and manage an internal newsletter
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software as well as social media and digital platforms
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
  • Must have a passion for communication and marketing
