National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) was established in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act No. 47 of 1996, as amended by Act No 59 of 1997 and Act No. 52 of 2001.

National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) Bursaries 2022. The National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) invites applicants to apply for Bursary Programme 2022 academic year in South Africa.

The National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) was established in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act No. 47 of 1996, as amended by Act No 59 of 1997 and Act No. 52 of 2001. In 1996 Parliament passed the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act (Act No. 47 of 1996). This new act replaces the Marketing Act of 1968 and brings about deregulation in the South African agricultural industry. In order to implement the provisions of the Act, the NAMC was established in January 1997. The NAMC is a statutory body established in terms of the Act to advise the Minister of Agriculture and the South African Agriculture Industry on matters relating to the marketing of agricultural products.

The National Agricultural Marketing Council is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the bursary programme. NAMC bursary offers Internal bursary and External bursary and are both granted to students who wish to continue their higher education studies in the fields of Agriculture.

Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Good academic standing
  • Proven financial need
  • Students who wish to pursue studies in Agriculture related fields such as Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science and Horticulture
