About the role:

The Digital Intern (Kauai) works with the Kauai Digital Brand manager and brand team to develop and manage digital communication campaigns where needed, to drive marketing objectives & strategies.

  • Digital Intern (Kauai) is responsible for managing brand content in digital channels, and the day to day management of Kauai digital channels:
  • Community management on social media channels. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and Social Places)
  • Engaging with Kauai customers and possible Kauai customers on Instagram and Facebook.(“Networking”)
  • Acting as the “messenger” between customer care and customers who reach out to Kauai to make sure complaints are resolved.
  • Giving input in the selection of relevant influencers and managing incoming content from said influencers to amplify reach, engagement, and growth.
  • Assisting with the management of content on websites & blogs.
  • Assisting with “tagging” all website content to ensure it is SEO optimised.
  • Assisting with CRM content (monthly e-mail newsletters).
  • Digital Intern (Kauai) is responsible for assisting in strategic digital content marketing that articulates the brands’ mission, strategy, and tone. The role is responsible for creating innovative editorial and visual content that will build the brand, increase awareness, consumer engagement, acquisition, and retention.
  • duties and responsibilities:

·        Work closely with Digital Brand Manager (Kauai) to define and maintain the brands’ voices & strategies.

·        Assist the Digital Brand Manager in developing and posting digital content for Kauai digital strategies. Assist the Digital Brand Manager to build a strategic social media calendar to generate authentic engagement and drive awareness on all social channels.

·        Managing and driving engagement and community on all Kauai digital content.

·        Assist the Digital Brand Manager with the management of digital communication channels.

·        Assist the Digital Brand Manager to report on channel results and performance in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, actionable, and understandable.

Great candidates for this role have the following characteristics:

  • Education and experience required:
  • Relevant Degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising or Social Media
  • Very strong online copywriting and editing skills
  • Exceptional social media skills.
  • Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and digital communication channels.
  • Understanding of different content analytics tools and social analytics tools.
  • Up to date with all new developments in the industry.
