Job Purpose

We are looking for a Key Account Manager reporting directly to the Sales Manager OTR : Global

Accounts. This is a Local role, based in the Northern Cape.

You will be responsible for creating a long-term and trusting relationship with our customers.

The Key Accounts Managers role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new

business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities within the OTR

Small and Medium market by providing specialized services, analyses and solution based

recommendations. (Mining Solutions)

Responsibilities:

Sales

  • To achieve 100% of sales budget units in GAC, AC & S&M markets
  • Product Portfolio Management (Including Balance of Product)
  • Secondary Selling
  • Site Management understanding.
  • Customer Interaction (Face to Face & Telephone)
  • Sell Solutions and Value by educating the customer
  • Provide solutions to overcome barriers
  • Development and execution of annual sales strategy
  • Pricing & Negotiation Management
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new

business

  • OTR Segment- Specific production and business process
  • Accurate forecasting of volume and value targets
  • Perform all technical studies required to ensure product performance improvement
  • Analyse market trends, customer preferences and provide inputs to sales and

operations.

Marketing Activity / Customer Relations

  • Opposition/ Competitor Intelligence
  • New Product introduction and performance monitoring
  • Facilitation of Factory visits
  • Digital platform management Establish solid working relationships with key players in target markets, aimed at developing and growing long term contract business and building company brand awareness
  • Follow through to ensure that personal quality and service standards are consistently
  • and accurately maintained
  • Plan and prioritize, demonstrate abilities to manage competing demands
  • Regular and value added calls on customers as per customer needs
  • Development and training/ coaching of customers and peers when necessary
  • Maintain existing client base and increase their current sales level

  • Customer entertainment
  • OTR Segment Specific Solutions Offering (BMS)
  • Identify New Business Opportunities and explore and develop

Technical Service and Support Activity

  • Technical product knowledge
  • Resolving Customer Complaints and preventative measures
  • PSR/AGRI/Commercial/OTR Technical support
  • TEC / Claim Administration and Support
  • Onsite surveys
  • OTR Specialized Studies (TKPH, Site Severity, G-Hawk, B-Tag)
  • OTR O-Dis System
  • OTR Treadstat System
  • OTR Specific Balance of product – Product knowledge (Rims/ Fill/ Accessories/ Etc)
  • OTR OSS Solutions Management
  • Operational Understanding of Pit to Port (Mining)
  • Solution based field activities

Administration

  • Submit weekly expense reports on travels and monitor expenditure
  • Weekly feedback reports with detailed Itinerary for atleast 2 weeks submitted to Sales
  • Manager weekly
  • Monitor sales/ delivery target plan per customer
  • Assisting with collection of Accounts payable as per agreed customer terms
  • Monthly Feedback reports to customers with solid recommendations and solutions

planning

Internal liaison

  • Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
  • Collect Market Intelligence (ongoing)
  • Monthly opposition activity, pricing movement, market changes and competitor info
  • Reports
  • Record Market information and report on a weekly basis
  • Quarterly report on major accounts to BSJ
  • Record and report on all test tyres monthly
  • Managing Surface mining fleet targeting programme

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience within the OTR industry®
  • Valid driver’s licence ®
  • Technical & Business Aptitude
  • OTR Specialized Systems (TreadStat, B-Tag, G-Hawk, O-Dis, Optimizer)
  • Fitting/Stripping/Mounting/Demounting of tyres
  • Entry level OHS training
  • OSS Management Training
