Job Advert Summary Gordian Logistic Experts South Africa is a Dutch rooted supply chain management consultancy company. We focus on (MRO) spares management. Gordian adds value by reducing asset downtime through ensuring spares availability. Gordian help clients improve their service level, lower their working capital (inventory value) and decrease operational costs. Our approach is holistic, we do not only assess inventory levels (Min-Max calculations), we also focus on master data management, spares categorization, stores management, procurement strategies and plans and inventory control. Our clients have capital intensive assets like production facilities, mining equipment, transportation fleets, etc.Gordian has been expanding the South African entity since 2018 and we are looking for an analytical and communicatively skilled business consultant. You will be working with a vast array of international clients, delivering service logistics consulting projects of high quality.   • A minimum of 1-3 years experienced in sales, customer relations and engagement, preferably in the engineering sector; 1 year minimum as sales representative specifically
  • Great client service skillset to relate and build relationships – ability to build and service networks
  • Ability to engage actively with all levels of people – from operations to directors
  • Highly motivated and target driven – commitment, drive and meet sales goals
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills – professional image and self-confidence
  • Ability to recognise a sales opportunity and to translate a client need into a proposition
  • Affinity with, and solid understanding of the Engineering Asset Management, Service Logistics, ICT in general
  • Coordination and Management skills, ability to drive a lead form first contact to closure
  • Independency and responsibility, and also act as a great team player
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft toolset Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and review and update on a regular basis, locally for South Africa and also for other African markets
  • Drive sales activities through the full sales-cycle – serves clients by selling services and meeting client needs
  • Service existing leads, obtain orders, and establish new leads by actively approaching the market exploring opportunities
  • Administer and maintain sales management and reporting system
  • Contextualise template content of sales presentations to target the type of client, by industry and requirements
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential markets
  • Prepare proposals aligning to templates and existing offers
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual sales forecasts
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services, new competitors, and sales techniques
  • Recommends changes in services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and sales
  • Contributes to team effort through group selling
  • Align with Sales Agents and international relations
