Thulani Ga Ndlela Biography

Thulani Ga Ndlela is a gospel singer and song writer who hail from Inanda, Kwazulu-Natal,South Africa. He is signed to Patshi Records record label. He is affiliated to Ethekwini Community Church. He won BEST GOSPEL SONG WRITER at the Crown Gospel Music Awards 2015. with the song he wrote titled UKHONA UMOYA OYINGCWELE.

There are many different styles of a praise and worship leader, and some are more effective than others. When leading a congregation into worship, Thulani Ga Ndlela is an inspirational praise and worship leader, who leads by inspiring others into a greater sense of God’s presence.

Not only is Thulani an effective and inspirational praise and worship leader at EThekwini Community Church (ECC) for the past six years, he is and has been singing at various churches and gospel concerts for the past 17 years.

As a gospel artist Thulani has shared the stage with various gospel greats including Benjamin Dube, Nqubeko Mbatha, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, Sfiso Ncwane, Sgwili and Babo, Kirk Franklin, Jabu Hlongwane, Sipho Makhabane, Hlengiwe Mhlaba and Israel Mosehla just to mention a few. We Lift Him Higher is his first solo album though he has featured in projects like Peace Train and ECC Mass choir Africa in Worship Vol 1. He has also written songs for the ECC Mass Choir, Joyous Celebration 12 and arranged a song for Israel Mosehla’s album called Crown Him Lord released in March 2011.

When he is not in studio arranging, composing or writing music, Thulani assists as an events coordinator and programme director for different gospel events in KZN. He has also earned a reputation by being an events manager for Christian community radio station KNI Radio for about 10 years which has given him added exposure as a singer and a promoter.

Although Thulani did not finish his Musical degree where he was specializing in his vocal abilities at the then Technikon Natal now Durban University of Technology (DUT), he is currently employed as a South African Police Services (SAPS) officer. Thulani says the police force seemed a relevant career choice when he joined six years ago as he enjoyed interacting with people and lending a helping hand where he can.

Having grown up in townships like Inanda and Clermont, Thulani says he has seen the hardships under which people live and he was always determined to bring spiritual and physical transformation in such communities.

Thulani is married to Lindiwe Ndlela and they are blessed with two daughters Siphesihle (10) and Amahle (3).
