Warnings: 
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the north-western parts OF Namakwa District as well as the northern and western interior of Limpopo province.
Watches: 
Severe thunderstorms are expected in places over the eastern Highveld areas of Mpumalanga as well as the southern interior and south-eastern parts of Limpopo province.
Special weather advisories
Heavy rainfall is expected along the coast, adjacent interior and northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provinces

Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, becoming cloudy from the south later.
UVB sunburn index: High.
Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the Highveld.
Limpopo: Cloudy in the south-east with fog along the southern escarpment in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers but scattered over the southern interior, except the extreme north and north-east. It will be hot over the Western Bushveld.
North-West Province: Partly cloudy and warm but hot in places in the extreme north-east. Isolated showers and thundershowers except in the south-west.
Free State: Partly cloudy in the north-east where isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, otherwise fine and warm but cool in the extreme north-east.
Northern Cape: Fine and cool to warm but cold over the southern high ground. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, reaching strong by the afternoon.
Western Cape: Partly cloudy along the south-west, south-coast and adjacent interior with isolated showers, otherwise fine and cool but cold over the Peninsula and south-coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, reaching strong north of Cape Columbine by the afternoon but southerly to south-westerly along the south-coast.
UVB index: Extreme.
Western half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and cold but cloudy with isolated showers along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly becoming moderate southerly in the afternoon.
Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy to cloudy and cold with isolated showers but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly becoming south-easterly in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Very cold over the south-western high-ground, otherwise cloudy and cold with widespread showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south to south-westerly, becoming south-easterly in the late afternoon.
UVB index: Moderate.
